FAQ's

Q: What does the monthly tuition cover? A: Tuition is billed in 10 equal monthly payments from September to June and includes: • 34 private lessons across the school year • Access to practice videos, audio tracks, and personalized lesson notes • Three virtual recitals • Themed events • Mid-week feedback or support if needed Music books are not included and will need to be purchased separately.

Q: What if my learner needs to miss a lesson? A: You may reschedule up to three private lessons per year (Sept–June), as long as you provide at least 48 hours’ notice. These make-ups must be used by June 30 and will not carry over to summer or the following year. If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, we’ll send you a pre-recorded video lesson within 24 hours of the missed session so your child can continue learning.

Q: What happens if the teacher cancels a lesson? A: We’ve built in four teacher cancellation days into the studio year. If more than four cancellations occur, we will schedule a live make-up lesson—typically within two weeks, and always before June 30.

Q: What does my learner need at home for private online lessons? 🎹 For Piano Students: • Digital or acoustic piano (minimum 61 weighted, touch-sensitive keys) • Laptop or tablet (phones discouraged) • Tablet/laptop stand (adjustable height preferred) • Quiet, distraction-free space • Stable internet connection • Caregiver nearby to assist if needed • Headphones (optional if the space is quiet) 🎤 For Singing Students: • Laptop or tablet (plus a second device to play backing tracks, second device can be a phone) • Tablet/laptop stand (adjustable height preferred) • Quiet space for class and practice • Strong internet connection • Caregiver nearby if needed

Q: If I’m taking 1-1 lessons, are there opportunities to connect with other students? A: Yes! Even though private lessons are one-on-one, we make sure students still feel part of a vibrant musical community. Your child will have the chance to connect with others through our virtual recitals and fun themed events held throughout the year. These shared experiences help build confidence, foster friendships, and remind students they’re part of something bigger—a joyful community of young musicians all growing and playing together.

Q: Which video platform will we be using for online classes? A: We use Muzie — an interactive video platform built just for music education. It delivers crystal-clear sound, no special settings needed. Music sounds exactly the way it should—no more toggling “original sound” like on Zoom.
